Matt Austin is an art director with over two decades of experience across feature film and television. His career spans some of New Zealand and Hollywood's most ambitious productions — from the handcrafted world of Middle-earth across all three Hobbit films to the visual scale of Thor: Ragnarok, Mortal Engines, and Evil Dead Rise.
Matt works across both on-set and off-set art direction, and has built a reputation for precise, collaborative craft in high-pressure environments. He has worked alongside directors including Peter Jackson, Taika Waititi, and Jane Campion, and has contributed to productions spanning blockbuster tentpoles, acclaimed television, and independent features.
